General Plan to be Presented at October 7 City Council Meeting
The Madera City Council will review the proposed comprehensive General Plan Update and Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR), receive public testimony, and conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 before making final adoption.
The proposed General Plan Update was released for public review on April 29, 2009. A Final EIR analyzing impacts of the proposed General Plan Update has been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and related guidelines. The Final EIR consists of the April 2009 Draft EIR and General Plan Update comments received during a 60-day public comment period, responses to those comments, required changes to the text of the Draft EIR and an expanded summary table.
